Noticed in one of the Geelong tweets that the Cats have dropped their VFL membership options, so that Geelong supporters will be required to purchase an AFL membership which I assume how it works for other AFL clubs?
Like all AFL stand alone clubs, Geelong have NEVER had the option of a VFL-only membership. I think they only specified it this week perhaps due to a new Geelong member or an opposition supporter asking.
No worries. I saw that too and was confused. But no doubt in response to a question, they are good with their media. Expect a bigger VFL focus on their website this year too
I have a work colleague who is a Carlton supporter, and he told me you can pay for the option to be a Northern Blues *shudder* member when you sign up as a Carlton member, and they add a little VFL logo to the bottom corner of the membership card.

Thanks Arj. It was on their twitter feed. Thanks for clearing that up.

Not sure how this works for other VFL clubs.
