It was an utter disgrace for the telecast to start late without any preamble, just to put on political grandstanding by Jewellery and Tony abs. The murders in the sky were horrible, but the political crap should have been confined to Ch 24, with advise imposed on screen for the few interested in the waffle to tune there.

Yep phoney Tony and mutton done up as lamb sure smell a political opportunity when it presents.

But what do you expect?ABC headquarters in Sydney are running scared of further cuts and will do what Abbott wants esp when he is in Sydney.I doubt todays game would have rated much either.

The atmosphere at Nth Ballarat is dead as a maggot and with the countryfied look and with the cars around the ground makes the VFL look third rate.Still it will most likely be the last year we will see it.

Billy,
Lucky you weren't there, Worst crowd & atmosphere that I can recall. Not particularly interested in the asthetics only the four points which is what we all play for.
I got absolutely no joy whatsoever out of yesterday's game & its terribly sad to see a good club dying. You really had to feel for the players, volunteers & coaching staff. Ozzie Jones post match speech was all class & surely he deserves a chance at another club, which i'm sure he will get.
Interesting to note that the VFL vulture clubs are circling already waiting for the carcasses to rot.

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

It is suprising Digs as (no disrespect or stirring intended) I would not of thought their was so much to do in the 100 k town at that time of day. Has the club ever thought of playing games on a Sunday to not conflict with the local games ? You travelled with good numbers last season to Port so obviously you do have a following. Either that or the people there roared so loud at the final siren that it sounded louder than what it was.

37 times Grand finalists
16 times premiers
21 times runners up - THE MIGHTY BOROUGH!

I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN,
I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED,
I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ABC replay on Thursday morning started the telecast without the usual noisy introduction. It started with the teams running onto the ground. Included were the pre-match coach interviews, team lists and other games that day.
The start of the game was shown.

It should have been possible for the team lists to have been included on Saturday during a lull in the match or at quarter time.
