I read in a recent AFL Footy Record a few weeks ago about a guy who had hundreds of hours of radio broadcasts on cassette which he had turfed out ... my first thought was WHY!
Does anyone have any old radio commentaries preserved for listening pleasure?
I would especially love to hear the dulcet tones of 'The Captain and the Major' from 3KZ once again ... I absolutely loved their work, and to hear the 'around the grounds' updates and the adverts would ring memories flooding back.
I don't care who was playing or when (but preferably the late 70s through to late 80s), but to hear commentary when it was exceptional (calling the game professionally and with entertainment) would make my day.
Pining to hear a 'Captain and the Major' call so I can indulge the senses with one of their calls.
Anyone able to help?
