Port Melbourne are close to full strength with a settled side after a few weeks of resting key players.

Good weather is forecast and the ground is in excellent condition.

Hopefully the Box Hill faithful turn up in good numbers, when the two clubs played at Box Hill City Oval probably had more Port supporters at the ground.... Certainly the most vocal.

We were definetely the more vocal that day however they had a llot of support themselves. Especially from the terraces to behind the goals. Some "passionate" language going on behind the goals that day between the rival supporters.

Teams in the OP. Weather is going to be sunny and Port Melbourne look to have a strong squad with the 'Interchange from' as strong as we've been this season.

Big game and no excuses for Port. This should be another terrific Port v Box Hill clash.

Bonaddio straight back into the side and Connors injury free despite the scare last week.

McEvoy can dominate at this level, so Sandy Robinson will really have his work cut out in the ruck duals. Bonaddio a big chance to provide some relief for Sandy.

Lots of goal-scoring options and quality midfields could make for a high scoring game. on Saturday.

Port and Box Hill have had some great tussles over the years especially in finals. Slight leaning to Port as they are awfully hard to beat at North port Oval. Box Hill's talls will worry Port and can kick long goals. Port might have the edge in the clinches. Borough to win another Port v Box Hill finals epic.

Credit to box hill, better team on the day, were much harder at it then us which was disappointing, the umpiring didn't help, absolutely shocking, everything seemed to go box hills way, hopefully pinwill and margliani will be playing next week after getting reported, tough game back at port next week against sandy, dont think our last few games being blowouts helped today, i think we needed a game high in intensity leading up to this, hopefully this wakes them up for next week, go borough!!!

I haven't been able to watch the TV coverage in full but instead saw patches of the game. Height is a real problem for Port. I can't see any option but to get Fanning straight into the side against the taller AFL standalone clubs.

Crowd wasn't bad at Port. Would have liked another thousand or so there.

The Box Hill talls were a real problem for the borough. Port were ok and played reasonable up to half time. Box Hill were far better in the second half and the talls Grimley, McEvoy brothers were a headache. Box Hill's delivery was far better.
Box Hill will most likely face Williamstown in the Prelim who were looking good against the dogs when held a 16 point lead half way through the third quarter. Kicking with a strong wind in the last quarter the seagulls could not finish the game off. Liam Jones always seems to impress at VFL level. He took several marks for the dogs whilst the seagulls missed a few chances for goal.

Looks like a reverse of this weekends games for the prelim provided Williamstown and Port both win next week.
Port should atone for an improving Sandringham as should Williamstown over Werribee in next weeks semi finals. Of course nothing is certain in footy but I would back Port and Willy next week.
This would set up Box Hill v Williamstown and Footscray v Port Prelims.

Can both the old VFA teams make it through to the GF ?
Footscray and Box Hill will be both tough games for the VFA sides but are more than capable of reversing this weekends results.

Not sure what the odds for the flag now would be but Box Hill would have to be favourites and in order followed by Footscray, Port, Williamstown, Werribee and Sandy the rank outsiders.
