2014 1st Semi Final - Port Melbourne v Sandringham

Saturdays do or die clash sees Port potentially without two of its best.

Pinwill and Marigliani both offered 2 weeks suspension for their reports against Box Hill last Saturday.

For Sandy it will depend a lot on how many St Kilda players the who took the field last Sunday against the Bulldogs play and if they pull up alright after their mad Monday.

These are the Saints players that are able to play

Trent Dennis Lane, Sam Dunnell, Jason Holmes, Terry Milera, Darren Minchington, Brodie Murdoch, Lewis Pierce, Dylan Roberton, Seb Ross, Josh Saunders, Cameron Shenton, Tom Simpkin, Spencer White, Nathan Wright

Cameron Shenton has played some decent games for St Kilda. Dunell, Minchington, Milera and White go ok. Dennis Lane will be delisted by the saints and not guarenteed to play.
Maybe 8 or 9 out of these 14 will play.

Port will be odds on to win and should win comfortably but cannot afford to take the zebras lightly.

Take anyone lightly these days in the VFL and it could cost you dearly. Sandringham are a club that can cause real grief to a Port Melbourne or Williamstown. Took us a while to knock them off earlier this year and only a few weeks ago Williamstown took till the last quarter to control the game.

Hoping for a Port Melbourne win and hopefully Rigga can get his 2 weeks overturned on Wednesday night. In the other game I think Williamstown over Werribee but think it may be a very close derby all day.

Sandy have plenty of experienced players who can kick goals and win for the Sandringham football club.
With a few missed players from last week able to come in will only strengthen the Zebs and after a good solid win from last week will hopefully see a successful Zebra win.

Marigliani off and Pinwill gets a week. Dunell and Dennis Lane delisted but hopefully they will play on Saturday

Sandy. The most successful club in the past 30 years

Yes very sorry Pinwell out for 1 week against the Zebs as that does make an unbalanced Port team and as my late Father always said you have to beat any team its only fair and better if they are at full strength when you defeat them.
so mote it be.
