What the hell just happened? Did a hurricane sweep in from one end after half-time?!

Well done Wally - your team showed plenty of guts and fight and should be congratulated. I think however on the opposite side of the scale your team has alot of explaining to do as they probably sent half of Williamstown to Williamstown hospital with anxiety disorders and heart palpilations with leaving their run so late. Great effort.

I do feel for Werribee - must be hard for them as they always make the finals and whenever they lose - they lose games that could go either way. Such is sport - such is life.

Werribee fall short time and time again.

People don't speak about the Werribee as a club the way they talk about Williamstown and Port - those clubs have an 'intimidation factor' which I just don't think Werribee have.

They should be a powerhouse, they have great community support, a full time coach, a profitable gaming venue and seem to be very good at attracting quality players from the Bush and Tasmania.

I actually think the part alignment holds them back, I think they'd be a much better club if they move to a stand alone model. And I think of all the clubs in the VFL they are one who can afford to do it.

You would think so wouldn't you ? And you won't think crowds would suffer as they don;t have that many to lose (that's not a punch bellow the belt) and would think they would only gain some.

They are a very good club, a nice venue with good facilities. Their social area is excellent - elevated great view that you can watch the game from behind glass.

I agree with community support - In the local paper last year when they played port they had 6 PAGES leading up to the game. I don;t know of any other local paper that has ever got behind their local side that much. I don;t think even when Port won the 2011 undefeated season that we has that much local support.

You would not have backed Williamstown with stolen money at three quarter time.
After 10 minutes into the last quarter you could sense they were going to win. The game completely changed.
Shades of the days when Williamstown use to storm home with the likes of Chops, Pastore, Ghazi, Delre, Aziz, Cahill etc

I would have thought if they can afford to go stand alone, they eventually will. That allows them to have an identity and improve their local support. You'd think that in an outer suburb, the crowds should be ok, especially as the club is always competitive. What was the crowd like today at Port? Meant to tape it and I forgot.

Heath_eld the game will be replayed during the week on abc.
Crowd ok with the Werribee fans making noise until the last quarter where the seagulls voices suddenly got louder.
Good tough game in the first half. The third quarter Werribee played all over the seagulls who were inept. Then the last quarter was a complete turnaround. Kane Lambert played a superb game. Overall funny sort of game that fluctuated and was hard to read.

Williamstown have played Box Hill twice this season and have matched them well but fell short both times. Ben McEvoy is not qualified and with his absence it would make a huge difference. If he plays that will be a farce. Might as well include Hodge, Mitchell, Hale and Gunston and put the name Hawthorn on the scoreboard.

Any idea when the replay is? I only see one slot, 2.30 on Wednesday morning? Doesn't say which game it is.
