WAFL Grand Final

Wet weather and the despised West Coast Eagles alignment has delivered the WAFL its lowest Grand Final crowd since 1944 - just 11,987.

At least the Eagles Reserves lost to Subiaco, who had many supporters of the six other non-aligned clubs in their corner.

A great day for the football purists and traditionalists today when you consider Port's Reserves were edged out by Norwood in Adelaide.

Great to see the local WAFL and SANFL teams band together against AFL based teams. Wish the likes of Williamstown, Port Melbourne, Coburg and Frankston would do the same if one of the VFL standalone teams played in the VFL Gf.
