I can't see Box Hill winning the premiership this season. Big losses in Luke Lowden, Sam Grimley, Cheney and a few others that are gone from Hawthorn. Probably still make finals but no flags. Port have lost a few good players but picked up some good players including Khan Haretuku. Will again feature in top four. Williamstown will lose Kane Lambert but good pickup in Dunnell. Like Port again top four, maybe the team to beat for the flag this year. Footscray look strong again and a good chance to go back to back. Sandringham will improve a fair bit on last year. Collingwood will be reasonable but if they injuries they will be near the bottom. Coburg will improve further from last year. Geelong competitive but not as good as they were. Essendon a bit of an enigma. Ok most weeks but can have shockers. Casey good at home but not so good away. Frankston big turnover of players. Raw list with ability and could surprise. Richmond's vfl list is average at best. In for a long winter. Will be better at Punt Road. North Ballarat will be thereabouts and with the Big O back at home will be better for it. Werribee likely to struggle and probably no finals appearances.

Top four not in order Port, Williamstown, Footscray and Sandringham
Coburg to make finals and Richmond and Frankston to fight out spoon.

Could be way off but that is my pre round one predictions.

Well I actually wanted to have Port Melbourne as Premiers, but thought that might set Digs right off!

Hopefully with the inclusion of some handy AFL players plus some of the younger Saints players maturing the Zebras will have a good season.

Way too early to talk about who might or might not be premiers but I suspect that Port,Willy,Box Hill,Footscray and Casey will be there abouts.

Would be delighted to see my boys in September as, if it comes to pass, it would be a Herculean effort by all concerned with the club.
It's no secret we run on the smell of an oily rag and simply can't attract big name recruits.

If the boys can play as we did against Port last Saturday (2 goal loss in seniors, 10 goal development win), then we will earn back some respect, and those who predicted we would suffer a similar fate to Bendigo Gold will look very silly indeed!

Good luck to all, here's my predictions:

Premier: Port
Top 8: Port, Footscray, Sandy, Box Hill, Willy, Casey, Coburg, Geelong.
Spoon: Frankston
Frosty: Lech Featherstone

A few people have port as premiers - poor digs must be popping the bottle of the prozacs with fear that the mighty port will prevail!

37 times Grand finalists
16 times premiers
21 times runners up - THE MIGHTY BOROUGH!

I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN,
I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED,
I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As in other years Mega I have very little to fear.

Did I see in the local paper that your mob had Cale Morton? That's a good pick up!

Hard to tip a premier. Depends on AFL politics at the business end. I'd be stunned if the contenders didn't include Box Hill as well as Port and Williamstown.
