Early tips for next week not that my tips have been very good over the past fortnight with 1 tip in Round 3 and 2 lousy tips this week.

Anyway my tips for Round 5 are
SATURDAY MAY 16
Essendon vs Box Hill Hawks at Windy Hill 12pm(3WBC) Box Hill to rebound against Essendon who are inconsistent.
Northern Blues vs North Ballarat at Etihad Stadium 1:15pm(AFL C/R to Carl vs GWS)
## Roosters fans will be locked in the ground after their VFL match forced to watch Carlton spooners v GWS to double the crowd. Digs you better find a fence to climb out of the ground as you can't subject yourself to watch Carlton play. That would be painful. Then again if you stayed at least you would get a laugh out of Mick 'I can't see where Carlton will lose a game' Malthouse. Carlton circus.
Roosters to defy the odds on their form over the past fortnight and remain unbeaten at TURD DOME
Footscray vs Geelong at Whitten Oval 2pm(VFL Live) Dogs to win by a few goals in an entertaining game.
Port Melbourne vs Casey Scorpions at North Port Oval 2pm Port to make it back to back wins but would want to be on their game as Casey can be unpredictable.

SUNDAY MAY 17
Richmond vs Collingwood at Punt Road Oval 11:42am(Channel 7)Richmond to win again at Punt Road
Frankston vs Sandringham at Frankston Park 2pm(Casey Radio) Dolphins getting better but will miss out by 3 or 4 goals. Could win if the zebras are off but they most likely will have to wait for another week.
Werribee vs Williamstown at Avalon Airport Oval 2pm Battle of the west will go to the seagulls over a much improved Werribee

What a joke this is

Northern Blues vs North Ballarat curtain raiser match on Saturday at Etihad will now be contested over 4x27 min quarters with no time on as the match can not start before 1:15 and must finish by 3:35

Thoughts?

Robbo....any idea why it cant start before 1.15?

I am presuming it has something to do with what time the gates open.

NOTE: All Etihad and MCG VFL curtain raisers will be running to these timing rules (4x27 min quarters)

Yeah that's a ridiculous situation for an elite competition.

Let the AFL clubs warm up at three quarter time and reduce the break between games.

Incredible that they need an hour between games. You'd think 45 minutes would be more than enough.

Circus- what else would you expect from ETHIHAD 'TURD DOME' empty head Stadium. Just hope the roosters can find some form and WIN

Considering that the time between matches is extensive do you really think anyone will turn up early to watch the earlier game ? I would imagine at best, perhaps a few.

How many would they get for Carlton v GWS ???
Considering how pathetic Carlton are traveling and the interest factor for a side like GWS you they might as well lock the gates to keep the few roosters fans there.
In all seriousness I would be surprised if they got more than 15,000
Looking at the games on the weekend you would have to say Werribee v Williamstown looks like the match of the day. I underestimated Werribee and thought they would struggle. They have played well to date. I noticed Ben Warren and Ben Ross running around for Pascoe Vale against Strathmore who had Matty Little still playing. This was on the Local Footy Show last week as one of their televised games. Ben Warren kicked a few and followed up with another big haul for Pascoe Vale this week.

Ben Warren no longer playing for Werribee ? Shame another quality player lost to a lower league, effectively weakening our league and its entertainment factor all due to the mighty dollar.
