COMPETITION for senior berths will heat up on Sunday, with a number of Hawthorn's 2014 premiership players in action for Box Hill Hawks against Williamstown in the VFL.

Midfielder Will Langford and ruckman Ben McEvoy will again play for the Box Hill Hawks after returning from injury prior to the bye, as will key defender Matt Spangher, who is gradually building his game time after an extended stint on the sidelines.

Defender Angus Litherland will also line-up for Box Hill after he made way for Paul Puopolo in Hawthorn's Round 12 line-up.

The VFL Hawks have enjoyed a stellar start to 2015, winning six of their seven games.

A win against the ladder-leading Seagulls in the Round 10 VFL match at Burbank Oval on Sunday would propel the Hawks to the top of the VFL ladder.

The senior match starts at 2pm, with the development match beginning at 11am.
