Ports last roll of the dice.. Big names back into the side ...

Cain Lange, Scipione Langford all named.
Congratulations to Alex Urban, grabbing the 23rd man spot.

Coburg are a huge threat at home at Pirana Park.. The Lions will still be on a high after their impressive win against Footscray last week. Ports midfield has been way down in recent weeks. With Port losting 5 of the past 6 games, this one should go right down to the wire!

Yeah it is! My bad...that does tip it back in Ports favour, although North Port Oval hasn't been the fortress of recent years.

It will be interesting to see how those players rushed back into the side perform.

Aren't they all Heath ??
A few of the Port players will still be a bit rusty & Pinwill looks to be well overweight.
Any details of the last time Coburg won at Port ??

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

Last time Coburg won at Port was about 20 minutes ago.

We dominated after quarter time, butchering our chances in the 2nd but straightened up nicely in the second half. Backline was super strong and our midfield batted far deeper than theirs. Given what was at stake for the Borough, they'll be bitterly disappointed with their efforts.

Game hardly went down to the wire as we controlled proceedings from early in the second term, but a late couple of goals to Port in the third term had the home crowd urging them on. Whilst they did draw within 10 points, we had the composure and class to draw away nicely to kick the last 4 goals of the match.

A good way to set up the last month of the year starting with a trip down to Frankston next Sunday.

Very impressed with Coburg, if they were to have played finals they could have give a few sides a bit of a scare.

The season is over for Port and I'll post my thoughts during the week. It's not all doom and gloom.

I thought the first quarter was about as good footy as I've seen for a few weeks. It was red hot.

I agree Coburg controlled the majority of the game.. Decision making and skills were also superior.
