Two more departures at Port.
Sam Gilmore is heading off for a years travel, while Dan Noonan returns to the Old Xav's after a good 5 years at the Borough.

Good thing that we are having a clean up. Don't want the humiliation of finishing behind Ballarat again.

So who are we signing? It was noticeable that Williamstown got the job done today with the much smaller side.

Well a ruckman is a priority. Waddell will get more opportunities in 2016 but we need a big body to compete.

Any updates ? We need some quality signings otherwise it will be another mediocre season. We may even have the humiliation of finishing behind Ballarat again if we don't recruit quality.

Some very good players have already been interviewed at Port with a number of them offered deals. Delisted AFL players usually wait until after the drafts have finished to commit to VFL clubs. Hold tight Mega were working hard to build a strong side for 2016 and beyond!
Young Nick Dixon is an excellent early signing and will be one to watch.
The Leader newspaper has Reilly, McKenzie (Melb) and Cordy (Dogs) linked to Port although Paul Amy believes Reilly will be heading home to SA.

Hi Burra, have missed you dearly. Great to see that the glass is always half full.
Cordy from the dogs should fit in beautifully with the extra long list of ex AFL dud ruckmen that have have pulled on the Port jumper over the last ten years or so.

Let's all settle down. Recruiting is going well at Port and club will announce a few signings shortly. Cordy is a remote chance but lets remember he may not be a good AFL player but he can hold his own in the VFL. I think some of the names being chatted to will surprise a few people....so watch this space. Barring form slumps and injuries I would expect Port too be back up there in 2016. Hey Digs is Andrew Hooper captain at North Ballarat in 2016?? Before Bucky got appointed GM did our friend from up north express a interest in the job ?? Hear it's all over again up there for him.

Lauschie,
The captain hasn't been appointed as yet, only one training run up to the minute.
Our friend up north is still a good friend of mine "I think" & as for him being an applicant I'm unsure.
To be perfectly honest I'm unsure about anything at all that's going on as the club is currently at it's lowest possible ebb in it's history. Just hope the members can eradicate the rednecks at the AGM.

Digs coming out of a AFL alignment is never easy. I think most people up in North Ballarat have the club's best intentions at heart. I think North Ballarat can and will be successful in the very near future. I was surprised Fitzy was moved along too though. Happy that Fitzy is staying in the Ballarat area and no doubt will help Marc Greig out if asked.
