Stand-alone AFL reserves league could return alongside 10-team VFA-style competition

Interesting development, Bill Kelty completes a review of second-tier competitions but doesn't bother talking to stand-alone VFL teams, go figure????

Whatever the outcome digs, you can bet that it will be tailored to accommodate the wishes of the BIG Victorian AFL clubs, and I'm sure you can guess who they are.

This rubbish comes up every season. Only a couple of Victorian AFL teams even make a profit so why would they want to dip further into debt when they can run their VFL alignment as they wish?

Burra,
If that's the wishes of the AFL they will just prop it up with the dollars. Can't remember the last time they didn't get their own way.

Kelty GARBAGE.

Seriously where would Hawthorn play Glenferrie Oval ?
Maybe Melbourne can play at Albert Ground and revert to the name Fuschias ?

This won't happen as Burraburgers says that AFL clubs in debts why would they pay for a seconds side. Can you see Carlton paying the full $ for a seconds side. No chance. They would rather bludge off the former VFA team that was once called Preston.
Hawthorn have it well playing at Box Hill. North have latched on to Werribee and don't reckon they would want to be alone.

Or is the real reason Williamstown won the flag and next see could see a Williamstown v Port GF which would make all the AFL teams spit and would want an easier path a stand alone AFL reserves comp ?? LOL !!!
