I see that the start time of the game was brought forward 1 hour..
Lucky I didn't fly up this morning for the game. I would have missed half the match! 🙄
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
Quarter time and the Borough working our way back into the game trailing by 11 points at quarter time.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
At the long break Brisbane still in control 47-35 but could have kicked away with a few chances in the forward 50.
Port had some chaotic football close to goal on a couple of occasions but couldn't make the most of those opportunities. Farrant has notched up 3 goals to half time.

The lions too good on the day running out the game with a 106 to 81 result.
Still lots to like about the Borough. There were some standout performers for the Borough and I'll post more a little later.

I’m impressed by some of these recruits, Lloyd and Farrant were exceptional. I think we are set for a decent season and theirs some obvious things to work on but theirs definitely positivities. The pressure applied in defence to hold off a barrage of 2nd quarter Brisbane attacks gives me confidence that our backline is extremely resilient and strong. Our kicking was off today and Brisbane kicked well - had we of kicked ok I’m not suggesting we would have won but we may have lost than less than a 2 goal margin which is far from embarrassing in a very tough first round match up. This team will only get better and I feel that this is the beginning of the bad old days being a thing of the past.

AJ more than held his own in the ruck. Rumours are that he is likely tovl be a mid season AFL draftee.
Farrant looks great around goals and agree that Lloyd is a likely type too 👍
Hooper as always puts his head over the ball.
