Can you name which is the best year for each club ?
Going through a few of the clubs-
Mordialloc- 1977 their only VFA flag beating Yarraville rates as number one for the bloods.
Sunshine 1971, Caulfield 1973, Frankston 1978, Waverley 1965 rate as the best for these clubs as it is their only VFA club.
You would have to rate Camberwell's 1979 flag ahead of their 1981, being their first flag.
Williamstown's best would have to be the 1990 flag against all odds. They trailed the Vales by 34 points early in the last quarter.
Sandringham's best ?
Is it this year or in 1962 when they were down by 44 points at 3/4 time, but came home like a train to beat Moorabbin by a point. I give my vote to the 1962 team.
Box Hill's best- is it 1984 there first ever by a record margin against Box Hill or their recent flag over Werribee ?
I give the 1984 flag the nod as it was the Box Hill mustangs.
Port Melbourne's best ?
Is it 1974/76/77/80/81/82 or one of the early one ?
Very tough to pick Port's greatest.
Maybe 1982 as they won their 6th flag in 9 seasons.
Northcote's best would be one from the early days- the 20s or 30s.
Yarraville would have to be the 1961 flag over the seagulls.
