From Frankston Standard Leader
Reported by Simon McEvoy

DETERMINED to strengthen its list, Frankston has secured a couple of good recruits.

Box Hill pair Jackson Sketcher and Leigh Kitchin signed with the Dolphins on Saturday.

The midfielders played in Box Hill’s reserves premiership side this year, Kitchin as captain. Sketcher was a star at TAC Cup level with the Sandringham Dragons, jointly winning the 2010 Morrish Medal with Dyson Heppell.

Kitchin has played in Box Hill’s reserves three successive flags, twice being named best-on-ground in grand finals. He’s also a Hawks reserves B&F winner.

‘‘He’s played at Box Hill for three years and with the Hawthorn players he just hasn’t been able to get the opportunities,’’ Frankston coach Simon Goosey said. ‘‘They add a bit of depth to our midfield. It’s looking good.’’
