Saints, Sandringham on verge of historic deal

Following months of sensitive negotiations, the two clubs are close to a compromise regarding the Sandringham guernsey. While the Zebras will continue on most occasions to wear their predominantly black and gold jumper, the new deal would see them play up to three home games a season at Moorabbin wearing St Kilda colours.

(Danny) Corcoran confirmed the club had tentatively agreed to design a clash strip in St Kilda colours when playing home games in the future at Moorabbin. The Saints can currently only field 14 senior-listed players a week in the Zebras senior team under the current agreement meaning senior players have been forced to line up in the development league on occasion. But Corcoran and Sandringham's CEO John Mennie have led a Zebras sub-committee holding regular talks with the Saints quartet of Finnis, Jamie Cox, Ameet Bains and director Thompson which will ultimately see selection restrictions lifted.

Any truth in this? Thin edge of the wedge for the Zebs?
