Looks like the vfl want each team to play 11 games downgraded from 12 which means both Frankston and gws have played their final games fur 2021. If lockdown restrictions are lifted on Thursday and that is a big if round 18 will be played this weekend with final round the following week. That will mean several games will be cut throat for teams scrambling for a spot in top eight. Footscray, Southport, Casey, box hill and Geelong look safe. The other 3 spots up for grabs.
If still in lockdown then they have to revert to games played games won ratio.
Im putting my money on lockdown continuing as nearly all cases have been out in the community (and therefore spreading) the virus.

I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN, I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED, I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!
If anyone should be developing a 5 year plan for Port Melbourne, it's Ayres, not the board.
Disappointing to hear that this news was delivered to Ayres via zoom, with our football director over in the USA (unsure if true).
All good names mentioned in this thread. Dwyer who played a lot of development football at Port before being his chance after Ghazi's rein would be a fitting 'full circle' if he was to end up as armour coach.
Surely if Ayres alums for the job, his credentials would blow other applicants out of the water.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
An Update to PMFC Members from the CEO: Coaching & Football Strategy Sub Committee
Dear Members and Sponsors,
Recently we advised that a Sub Committee would be established to further articulate the Club’s 5 year football strategy and to assess our future coaching options.
We are pleased to advise that the committee has now been formed and will comprise:
· Paul Malcolm (CEO)· Adrian Bonaddio (Director)· Toby Pinwill (Life Member, Premiership Captain 2017)· Dan McConaghy (Independent)
We believe the football strategy and the selection of our new VFL Head Coach are extremely important initiatives that will complement the overall strategy of the Club currently also under development and help set us up for the future.
We believe this is necessary to ensure PMFC can continue its history of on field success.
As the committee meets and reports to the Board of Directors, we shall keep you all abreast of further developments and decisions.
Very true NorthPort, However if the board have signed your death warrant they have already made their minds up & nothing will change.
Exactly the same thing happened to Fitzy.
You would have to be very disappointed with Bonnas !!
We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
