It was a warm day at Williamstown and the Dolphins were hoping to get off to a good start but lead by just 2 points at quarter time after kicking an inaccurate 2.7 in the 1st quarter.

From the start of the 2nd Quarter the Seagulls started to dominate with Andrew Williams dominating up forward with 4 goals and the Seagulls jumped out to a 29 point half time. Aaron Murray limped with a serious ankle injury and Matthew Burns did not play after half time with a concussion which left the Dolphins with 2 on the bench for the 2nd half.

This continued in the 3rd Quarter as the Seagulls piled on another 6 goals to the Dolphins 2 to lead by 52 points at the final change.

Despite trying hard in the final quarter the Dolphins only manged 3.5 to the Seagulls 5.6 as Williamstown ran out comfortable 65 point winners.

On a dirty day for the Dolphins, Brett Dore impress kicking 4 goals also Toby Conroy and Chris Oliver tried hard all day.

The Dolphins will need to regroup now with a record of 2 wins and 3 losses they will be looking to get the season back to an even ledger before the State Game when they play the Bendigo Bombers at home next Sunday starting at 2pm.

In the reserves, Frankston got off to a great start with a 6 goal to 3 first quarter. Williamstown pegged it back in the 2nd quarter and then in the 3rd quarter Frankston got out to 21 point 3 Quarter Time lead.

In the final quarter Williamstown challenged and in fact took the lead before the Dolphins kicked a couple of goals and manage to hold on for an impressive 10 point win. A 40 point turnaround from their game 2 weeks ago at Frankston.

Trent Shinners, Dylan Luxa and Raymond George were among Frankston's best but a great team effort. Next week the Dolphins will be looking to consolidate its 5th place on the ladder when they play Bendigo Bombers at home on Sunday at 11:10am.
