Just came back from my local supermarket where I ran into none other than Fred Cook...turns out he lives maybe 2ks away from where I live...told him I was a Sandy supporter...to which he replied...Well you can go and get F....d!!!!...we then had a good 10 minute chat in the carpark about the old VFA days...mentioned he was a good mate of Terry Wilkins...also still holds a pretty mean grudge against Allan Harper...he also told me that a young player down this way was in a bike/car accident and had to have both legs amputated...he'd been to see the player and found out that he was a mad Collingwood supporter and his favourite player was Dane Swan...Fred spoke to Billy Swan and has organised for Dane Swan to go and visit the young guy..a good news story from and old VFA legend
