From the Port Melbourne website:
In-form midfielder Matt Arnot (pictured above, #22) has accepted a three-match suspension from the VFL Tribunal following an incident during the second quarter of Saturday’s 13-point victory over North Ballarat at Frankston Park.
The decision means that Arnot will sit out the remainder of the Borough’s home-and-away season, with matches to come against Collingwood, Frankston and Geelong following this weekend’s Bye.
Despite being disappointed with the decision, Port Melbourne officials accepted the penalty and deemed the risk to challenge via a formal Tribunal hearing too great on the eve of the club’s 2016 finals campaign.
A big big loss for the Borough as Arnot has been a stand-out player throughout the season.
