Well, further to my comments yesterday about the abysmal state of the VFL media coverage, I have heard a rumour that AFL Victoria may well be close to launching a new media operation for the VFL, including an "official" coverage of certain games each weekend. Predominantly focused on internet broadcasting, it would be provided by an external organisation who would be paid for looking after VFL media content.
Such a move would place the existing broadcasters such as 3SER and 3WBC "on the outer" so to speak.
I believe one of our friends on this forum knows a bit more? Can you confirm or deny?
