Thanks Comeng - didnt know that. In that case they are way off, no way was Pickett better than Hibberd and Marcon. Ebinger was good too...great hands. Richmond supporters would be giving BOG to Willy Wheeler. How bad must he have felt after the game...
Digs Marcon has been a terrific player over the years - was surprised he only got two games at Richmond then delisted, winning the Guinane medal for best Richmond VFL player that year.
Butler will be at Carlton next year....

It is great listening
Butler will be playing more games for Carlton seconds than seniors. He has dropped of his form over the past 2 seasons.
Agree..his form is down. He might be in trouble getting a spot if Carlton get Eddie Betts back. There is no hope for him at Richmond now, once you're on the outer with Hardwick you're finished - just ask Lloydie and Miles.
About 5 mins was enough!digs
I agree Pickett wasnt best on ground The selectors must have been watching a different match!
Way off Mega. Princess Park now only holds 22.000 full and it was a long way from being full on sunday.
The biggest VFA GF crowd at Princes Park was 20,487 in 1992 Sandy V Willy
CH7 got 174,000 in Victoria which is a very good result.
Regardless of the crowd the atmosphere far better than plastic stadium docklands. Think we won't be having another vfl gf at plastic stadium anytime soon. Sarah sands hotel looks ready for the bulldozers. We ventured to Cornish arms hotel before the game. Was a thrilling finish yesterday. Unfortunately there always has to be a loser, sometimes a hero emerges, sometimes an upset occurs, some grand finals are blowouts. Yesterday looked like a blowout early. Seagulls battled hard and won the last 3 quarters. Thats footy.
Billythekid - yeah I guess I was thinking it still had the 35k capacity of the old days therefore was judging 20k on the look of a 35 k stadium. I think a 22k stadium is about the right size for a VFL grand final. Hard to believe that some Grand Finals were hosted at Port Melbourne in the 90's. Robbo what was the 2017 crowd ?
