Player movement 2022

One of the possible early moves...

Paul Amy has said that Coburg's Marcus Lentini may be on the move to Port Melbourne.

He would be a classy addition to Port's squad. Lentini has been selected in the team of the year for 3 years and is a best and fairest winner at Coburg.

The rape & pillaging of players from other clubs to Port continues. That is one topic that has consistently been a strong topic over many years. !

Wonder if Gibbons will head back to Willy if not picked up? I was surprised he got the lemonade fom Carlton, and reckon he would have to be a chance in the draft.

Yes Bearsman, Gibbons getting the flick was a big surprise to me as a Carlton supporter. Thought he had shown plenty to justify his retention.....more than Newnes, O'Brien,etc......oh well, it is Carlton, not known for any idea of what talent is these days.

I hope the Burgers hang on to Lentini, he'd be vital to them staying competitive and we want to see that. For now I'm pretty happy for Port to stay right where they are :)

Your wish may come true AJ - the reporter that said Lentini most likely going to Port is the same reporter who incorrectly said Wagner most likely going to Williamstown. Port confirmed today that Wagner has resigned therefore theirs every chance that he got the Lentini move incorrect as well.

As well as Wagner resigned Port has confirmed that VFL team of the year players in Hooper and Templeton have also been secured. A bit of a relief as some thought Eli may be searching elsewhere for success after busting his backside every much putting in remarkable performances with litte joy come final siren.

Ben Cavarra has been delisted by Footscray. Sure to attract attention from VFL clubs.

Certainly Bearsman, wouldn't mind if he returned to Pt Gellibrand along with Michael Gibbons and Brett Bewley, wishful thinking perhaps .....

Lentini has left Coburg. No mention of his new home yet. 14 others gone from Coburg as well.

that's disappointing, the Lions looked to have really improved in the season just gone so to see so many players depart is a bit alarming, however looking through the list three have never played a senior game, four have played 2 senior games, two have played 5 games, which makes up 9 of the 14. Lentini and Dickson are the only big losses from the Lions.

Paul Amy had Lentini linked to Port Melbourne, so thats definitley in play, but I dont see the value in it for him. The money wouldnt be that much different and you could argue Coburg is just as close to a premiership as Port, so assuming he wants to play at AFL level he'd be better served going to an AFL club or alignment to get himself better noticed.
