A big game for the bees. A win over Geelong and all of a sudden the gate opens right up for Werribee in their finals quest. Plenty of games left but Werribee are on a roll. I give Coburg a massive chance to upset Richmond especially at home.
Sydney 24-17(161) def Williamstown 7-8(50)
Williamstown’s worst loss in vfl era
Their worst loss since Round 13 1995 when they lost by 156pts to Springvale at Newcomen Road
As the season wears on it's pretty clear ALL of the northern state sides are very competitive at least - all could make the 8 which is a little bit concerning for the standalone clubs. As if fighting all the aligned clubs wasn't enough. I did read a bit of hysterical commentary on fb from Willy supporters tonight.....settle down people, a bad year is just a bad year. Try 15 in the wilderness and then start worrying! The Dolphins have been great this year, competitive every single week, yet we will have to do very well from here just to break even. Suddenly the VFL has become a very difficult competition to succeed in.
