Whitten Oval might make for a worthwhile venue. I don't know its capacity but given how Princes Park has been utterly butchered as a match day venue, I wouldn't be against giving Whitten Oval a go. 

The grand final should never ever be played at Docklands. Despise the place. Stick with Princes Park as still does the job.

C'mon Port fellas, Digs is right, that's laughable. Clearly Princes Park or Whitten Oval are better venues for it. As vfa points out, Docklands is a shocking venue for it. Nothing worse than looking at a big game in a stadium 10% full.

Only way I'd ever accept Docklands as a venue is if we got to a point where a VFL Grand Final could draw a crowd of 20k or more, but I highly doubt we'll ever see those days again. 

I'd prefer it be at either Whitten Oval or Princes Park, with one venue standing by as an alternate in case either Carlton or Footscray ever made the grand final but weren't meant to be the home team.

Clearly Port Melbourne is the best venue for the grand final, as Digs said 3 votes Port melbourne. 

Has hosted grand finals in the past without a issue,

More parking in the surrounding streets than other venues

Can hold a crowd

Food and drink prices are reasonable 

Great spectator facilities including the hill

Central location and close to public transport making it easily accessible for the fans. 

Apart from the location Port has very little to offer. Ideal for mountain goats.
