Bullants V Box Hill
Good effort by the Bullants to hold off a youthful and improving Box Hill side in Frank Raso's 100th VFL game. The Bullants have their backline to thank for the six point win that saw the club move to a 3-2 win/loss ratio for the season. Adam Hartlett was outstanding across half-back and with support from Justin Crow, Josh Vansittart and Craig Flint, the Bullants were able to restrict Box Hill to just seven goals for the first three quarters despite the Hawks appearing to have as much of the play as the Bullants. Aisakie O'hailpin and Luke Blackwell were also top performers for the Bullants. With a growing injury list, the Bullants need to break even over the next month if they're to be a realistic top four chance come season's end. The Bullants look likely to face Nth Ballarat without Digby Morrell who was taken to hospital after a heavy second quarter clash while attempting a mark. Adam Harlet and Josh Vansittart also finished the game with injuries although you'd expect Vansittart to play next week.
any news on the porn star digby
Last i heard, Digby had scans at Box Hill Hospital . . . and know one knows the results. Ribs is the early tip. Didn't get to the game til half time, was keeping an eye on ABC before that. Some real good signs for the Stangs, Heighty is having a great season, though Dale Bull is starting to look good. Zac Dawson is playing his most consistant footy for Box Hill this year. It was the most direct footy we've played all year in the 2nd half! Took some risks and our work off the half back line was really good. Sam Gibson . . . gee he's improved over the summer! He just plays with so much confidence now. Guess it's a pity we gave them such a start, but at least it wasn't a 146 point loss as in the corresponding game last year. I think we're better than last spot on the ladder . . . and we could make a late charge towards the lower rungs of the 8. Pity Matt Ball's only playing the first half of the year, he'll be sorely missed. Cooky might be in a bit of strife too with that last quarter incident, possibly a one or two week stint. Bit of a temper, which i kinda love, but we need him up and about, and getting some more games under his belt as he regains fitness. Does anyone know if John Holmes was out injured? Thought he'd been great in the matches i'd seen. Hope he's back soon. Go Stang's!
