Would it be a good idea to have some sort of page related to the umpires? If yes, I can help organise it. Regards,

as long as the rules of the game are included!!...som,etimes it appears as though the men in white arre quite conversant with the rules....and we let them know accordingly

I did used to have an umpring forum, however I decided to remove it after an unsavoury post (which is something I was concerned when creating the forum). I will have a re-think about it.

Open to some significant problems. But I love the interest in the umpires, we we see that were were 12 months between the first 2 posts on this thread!! Ons, you needn't worry too much about upsetting the men in orange, most of them can't read anyway.

OK, sorry, 11 months

I don't want to have to think about Ray Chamberlain and Mason during the off season.

The fact is the umpiring in 2004 was ordinary in my opinion. The gap between the seniors and reserves quality was also too large in my view. Hopefully the rule books have been read and the orange uniforms burnt so the umpiring panel in 2005 don't have to be much of a talking point (therefore we won't need an umpires board). And if they can't cop players mouthing off at them then maybe they should invest in a few pairs of earplugs for the more 'sensitive' (add your own description here) types.

Secondly, there will be ppl like yourself come on here wanting to know what the rules are and why are they interpreted differently each year. The interpretations of the rules are different. Other ppl want to know where each umpire is umpiring at what ground and between teams to determine whether or not they will go to the game.
