Umpire
Umpire page
Would it be a good idea to have some sort of page related to the umpires? If yes, I can help organise it. Regards,

Yeah, I don't think thats a bad idea at all. I can set up a page now, I guess its a good opportunity to talk about how certain rules are being interpreted, as well as raising issues. If you dont mind me asking Umpire, I am assuming you have an umpiring background (!) :) What level do you umpire at? I would love to see a crackdown on throws, which I think are getting out of control.

Yes, I umpire 'A' grade footy, and hope to make vfl soon.

It would be a great idea to have one set up. Because where else can we write reviews about umpires and answer questions about the rules.

Let me try to expain a couple of things gere. This is your second crack at this Goal Umpire. The simple issue is that the game is not about umpires, it is about the combatants. The best, the very best performance by an umpire is when you cannot remember any decision they made. The more invisible an umpire is, then the better his (or her) performance. For an umpire not to be noticed, means that his decisions are without dispute, therefore perfect. This is what should be expected of an umpire. With all due respect to Ons, (as his hard work on this sight gives him the right, in my opinion, to make these decisions) I think an umpires forum would be a disgrace. It is not about the officials. It never ever should be. What do we have next, speed through the entrance gate, a pie temperature monitor, Siren sounding time???? Come on, its about the game, not the bloody officials.

Gee, misunderstood again. It looks like me and Dale agree. My "crack" comment, was in referance to Goal Umpire having a second go at raising this forum option. "Crack" meaning attempt. We clear now? Cheers
