You seem to be missing the point. There is no doubt that the side would rather play 4 on the bench in the 2's. My point was simply that I can't understand why you would pick that up as some point of critisism! The 2 players in question missing out no doubt cost the club 2 wins on the weekend. It was clear in the second quarter of the 2's that they needed to be well in front as they would run out of legs. Had Bev Malloy not had to pull out of the 1's it may well have been the differance. Although Stu Kemperman was a solid replacement in the senior side, he would have been the differance in the 2's.. To suggest that the 2's are not taken seriously is a clear indication that some poeple just have no idea. This is critisism for the sake of critisism. That is why its "no big deal" in the grander scheme of things. Lovely attempt at manipulative editing. The comment was "IN THE BIG PICTURE, what the hell does it matter" Some fairly significant words left out there.

It is a big deal because you let down your players by playing a side who have no hope and the competition becomes a mockery because Frankston and Springvale are the easybeats. From next year on Springvale become your competition to attracting players - 15 minutes down the road. I'd say the more wins Frankston Ressies can get this year the better, otherwise the bright lights of Cranbourne and the promises of "St Kilda will be watching you" might well appeal to the young blokes. As for Frankston not taking the 2s seriously, well it wasn't that long ago you didn't have a reserves side for a season. You can hardly blame me for asking if they are putting a side out there when really they'd prefer not to? I have no doubt the short bench cost the ressies, plus the injury to Shane Downie and also a few blokes who gave away stupid free kicks in an important part of the 3rd quarter. However, I am not convinced it cost the seniors.

Thats OK, you don't have to be convinced. Your right, not so long ago Frankston did not field a reserves side. Thats not the case today. The simple issue on the weekend was that players pulled out and the econds were left short. End of story; no ulterior motive, no great , mystery. Just a simple case of a bit of bad luck.

Hopefully the 2s come and out beat Port Melbourne in two weeks :D Onslaught, good to see some photos up on the site, hopefully you get a few more to add to the collection during the season.

I can add a heap, hopefully if I can find a decent web host, ill put some DivX's of early Channel 10 games as well. I contacted them some time back about having them available for download and they said that was fine.
