That guy was one of the "AZZA" 100 Goals t-shirt mob. Had about 10 cans in him! Really enjoyed the game, but was frustrated too! The last 10 minutes of the third quarter were important, if Frankston really could have locked down, and even scored themselves, would have gone in with a little buffer. Letting Preston get goals against the trend allowed them to get their confidence up! Great to see Edwards get the ton. Seemed to be playing a bit of a decoy role at times. I think he's kicked 33% of Frankston's goals, but they weren't always going through him yesterday. Obviously sore, but he tried. Often went up against 3 or 4. Thought Kennedy showed a lot of leadership, he was always the one yelling to set up properly at stoppages, and he backs up his words with a tireless work ethic, just keeps running. Maragliani had a fantastic patch, really got the crowd going with his 3 quick goals. Thought Frankston kept Harford, Chambers and Morrell quiet, but just their big fellas McLaren and Deluca seemed a handfull, as well as a group of 3-4 mid sized running Carlton players, Sporn and the like. And Chris Bryan was left out!? So frustrating today, i guess Bullants just had a bit more class, although i'm not sure if that'll be enough to get them past Sandringham. Can a stand alone team ever win a flag? Yeah, i reckon they can. 19 points is no insurmountable task. Luck would probably play a part, but Sydney had luck last year. If Frankston can retain it's list as best as possible, and pick up one or two more players, they'd have to be right up there again.

Frankston with a bit of luck could have won. They needed another goal or two late in the third quarter. Not far off were the dolphins and if they can gain another two or three quality players next season they can improve even further.

Would rate Frankston's season as the best by a stand alone club. Tassie have made a prelim. final but were helped by playing finals at home. Losing Edwards would be a massive blow, 100 goals in 20 games is a huge effort. Expect him to be drafted. Also I expect Casey to get stronger which could impact on Frankston's list.
