Geelong supporters are pretty quiet although their Cats are in the VFL Grand Final and a 50/50 chance in a two horse race to win a Premiership. A great effort to reach the Grand Final after being bottom team last year and I am sure their supporters will turn up in the thousands on Sunday. Sandringham really want to win this one and will show their supporters and club that Past President Gary Gilchrist's memory is not forgotten. go zebs zebra :D

It is good to see 3AW and ABC radio broadcasting the VFL Grand Final. But they are hyprocites - only coming in for the one game, after refusing to give any VFL scores during the season.

how about about a meeting place on the wing or a nominated place either before the game or at 1/2 time where out illustrious group can meet and discuss the fortunes of the VFL.....prefer that to a pub near the ground as I'll be getting there early for the reserves match

Sandy. The most successful club in the past 30 years

Footyman - I know that 3AW did a VFL game during the season, but only because they were at a loss because of no AFL matches. The point is that neither 3AW or our ABC radio mention VFL scores during the season. They then "glorify" themselves by broadcasting the Grand Final. The only good thing about 3AW and ABC radio covering the VFL Grand Final is that, with relays (not all 3AW's oblige), they get into a lot of country Victoria as well as Southern NSW (2CO 675) and SA (3WV 594). Meanwhile, ABC radio in SA broadcasts SANFL semi finals! ABC radio in SA and Tasmania gives State and local football scores, unlike Victoria, which refuses to mention VFL.
