I searched for utorrents & bit torrent to download VFA Grand Finals from the 70's & 80's. I found lime torrents, & found the games I was looking for. I was asked to create an account whereby I had to pay via credit card. Is this lime torrents safe website to use credit card details.
I have not joined it eventhough I thought Christmas had come early when I found 1977 Mordialloc v Yarraville Div 2, 1978 Frankston v Camberwell Div 2, 1979 Camberwell v Oakleigh Div 2, 1980 Brunswick v Yarraville Div 2, 1983 Springvale v Brunswick Div 2, 1984 Box Hill v Oakleigh Div 2, 1985 Brunswick v Oakleigh Div 2, 1986 Box Hill v Oakleigh Div 2, & 1987 Prahran v Waverley Div 2.
Can I get advice on these torrent web sites and how safe are they when using credit card details.
There is a Footy Private Tracker if you want me to send me your E-Mail I can send you an Invite
Coachy, not sure how legit it is. I have not seen any footage from the 1977 and 1980 2nd Division Grand Finals, which would be great if they were secure and not dodgy. Can you send us the link to the bit torrent website and I can check if the source is legit. Don't know much about it but a guy from work gets movies from bit torrent sites. I'll check what he says and how safe they are. Don't give any card details.

Coachy, have you spotted footage from the 1977 and 1980 2nd Division Grand Finals ?
I am a Zebras supporter now living in WA and have very limited footage (virtually all sourced from YouTube). Does anyone have any full matches from the 1970s & 1980s that I could get a DVD copy of - the best I can do as a swap is to supply WAFL Grand Final DVD's from a similar era, some of these include the Krakouer brothers, M Rioli, Peake, Alexander, Phil Narkle, etc who went on to play in the VFL in the early to mid 80s. PM me if you can help. I will be in Melbourne next weekend.
Technology has advanced a fair bit now. Is there an official YouTube channel or anywhere where all the old games have or could be archived?
I could be mistaken but i believe that theirs no old full games uploaded on the net. The problem with trying to obtain these games is that clubs dont sell them either. I'd love to buy the 80,81, 82 grand finals or even one DVD which talks about that threepeat. I think part of the problem is that theirs a lack of demand and enthusiasm. The only games I can help you with in full are recent ones (2014 onwards).
If anybody wants to do a swap of some old Port games, ill copy a usb stick full of more recent games - some classics there - 2014, 2017 prelim etc

Your not going to believe me Digs my old pal but I was going to make mention of that GF and reference you, great minds think alike. I was going to say something along the lines of Digs before you ask I'm not interested in the 2008 GF !
I did see that one live, more interested in games I haven't seen, it's got nothing to do with me being a errrr ummm sore loser *cough* *cough*
The 1960 vfa gf oakleigh v sandringham is listed with national archives. The data base has it listed missing which means could be misplaced and unmarked in a canister. Would love to go through all the old canisters. Would do it for free. You might find the odd game or two and several ch0 news bulletins with vfa scores and brief highlights.
