On Saturday we see the culmination of the TAC Cup Under 18 season with the Grand Final between the Eastern Ranges and the Calder Cannons.

The big game will be played as a curtain raiser to the AFL Grand Final at the MCG.

The Cannons will go into the game as red hot favourites but the Eastern Ranges have proven throughout the year that when they are on-song they are capable of anything.

Calder's key defender Jackson Barling will get the job on Eastern's power forward and Collingwood draftee Travis Cloke. This match-up will be one of the keys to the game.

Another highlight will be the battle on a wing between Calder's Nick Becker and Eastern's Evan Johnson. Both players are seen as potential draft picks and will be out to impress the scouts as well as give their respective teams a lot of drive.

The Cannons have a very strong midfield with Jesse.W.Smith, Jesse.D.Smith, Dale May, Eddie Betts, Ronnie Davis, Ben Jolley and James Ezard expected to be rotated through there but Eastern's ruckmen in Fabian De Luca and Rudi Falovic will have a say in who wins the ball at ground level. The Ranges midfield is more of a workman like group who will need to get a lot of footy into the forward fifty to get their strong marking forwards Matthew Bate, Stuart Hill and Travis Cloke into the game.

It would be expected that a number of players from both sides should feature prominently at the National Draft this year. So if you are a keen follower of football at this level or want to pick out a few stars of the future yourself and you aren't going to the MCG switch on to Fox Footy at 10.15 Saturday morning and watch it live.
