Port Melbourne Cricket Club is this week playing in the grand final for the first time in many years. After dropping out of Sub District Cricket a number of years ago due to lack of players, Port is now playing in the VTCA South group. A win in this game will ensure the club is promoted to the Senior A1 competion for next season.

Port has not won a senior premiership since the 1990/91 season. The last sucessful side contained a number of former Borough footballers including Stretch Aanensen, Graeme Anderson and Rob Bevilacqua. Amazingly Rob bevilacqua is still playing and will bat in the lower order.

Good luck boys!!!!!

Moved to the Cricket board.

Good to see Beva still playing too. I reckon I'll be back (to play 5ths :) next season).

* It's time to restore the VFA name.
