Preston v Coburg practice match
Don't know the final scores, but apparently the Bullants won easily.
Don't know the final scores, but apparently the Bullants won easily.
Yeah they did Onslaught. I think they won by about 90 points, Coburg had 32 listed Coburg players play compared to the 6 Bullants players and 20 Carlton players. Im not sure if the game was worth its while as we all knew from the start that Preston where gojng to win with 20 senior and rookied listed players taking part. cheers

Apparently Angwin kicked 7 or 8 goals. The Bullants played a full strength squad while Coburg's side was without its Richmond players. Bullants flogged them, by about 15 goals.
All the Bullants supporters will have to get used to watching only a handful of their own running around this season and probably forever. What with a dozen or so from last year playing up the bush this year they may as well be wearing Blue jumpers. From attending 95% of the games in the last 5 years l might make it Cramer St 4 - 5 times this season. I couldn't stand seeing some of these Carlton listed players running around making fools of themselves and the Bullant jumper when l know that there are 12 others running around in the country that are heaps better than them. We had to sit by last year watching Croad and the like running the boundary while better players carved up the VFL 2nds. While l understand the reasoning behind the merger (Ha takeover) l cannot see why Preston would continue on with it and watch the majority of THEIR own leave. Makes no sense to me.

I suppose all the Bullant supporters were wearing their Carlton AFL gear and calling the VFL side CARLTON. Many supporters of merged sides are guilty of this, it really pees me off. The VFL players are getting paid peanuts, and heading for the suburban competition.
