Build a bridge. Just because no one wants the north port side while others enjoy the partnership with their afl side.
Move on live in todays world, I know we all loved the old vfa days but they unfortunately are over. Todays game is so much faster our vfa players would be in a daze.
If you make it to the GF then congratulations but be weary of a big ground with a perfect surface and non preforming forwards in finals.
Sandringham still Saintly?
July 16, 2011
SANDRINGHAM is hopeful that it can tie up a further one-year deal with affiliate St Kilda that will retain its partnership for at least the next three years.
Despite the popular opinion that AFL clubs will break away from their VFL affiliates, following the likes of Geelong and Collingwood who field stand-alone clubs, it appears that all AFL-aligned clubs in the VFL will remain with their respective affiliates until at least 2014.

Zebras general manager John Mennie said the club was "hopeful" after returning from a meeting with the Saints hierarchy this week.
The Coburg Tigers, another team coming out of contract, are also confident of a deal with Richmond for the next three years despite Richmond coming on the front foot and wanting a stand-alone team in the VFL.

Enough to make me choke on my weeties! Please no!
Can Sandy sound more desperate?.
It looks like the old guard at Sandringham Football Club are either past their used by date (the top 4 board members have been there over 30 years) or have just become lazy in which case a new breed is needed and dont point the finger at me as Im well past it.
Maybe the Premierships that came so easily via the MFC have affected the way the club is run and St Kilda is no Melbourne who were great partners before the failed Freemantle coach Conolly" and defeated Melbourne senior coaching applicant came on board and stirred up a lot of **** eventually talking the MFC board into moving their training base to godforsaken Cranbourne.?

You seem to have an obsession will the Borough Gullsghost. For the record Port Melbourne have North Melbourne their marching orders.
I think you should be looking at how the Western Bulldogs 2nds a.k.a Williamstown can win a prelim. Here are the results from Williamstowns last few tries:
2010: 11.12-78 Williamstown def. by Northern Bullants 16.8-104
2008: 16.21-117 Port Melbourne def. Williamstown 13.18-96
2007: 11.10-76 Williamstown def. by Coburg Tigers 20.17-137
