Does anyone know if former Port Power player and Central District Premiership player Ryan Williams is talking with Geelong's VFL side? I know he is an Anglesea boy and no doubt the pull of home would be big. Has really improved his game the last couple of seasons at SANFL level and would be a blow to the Dogs here in SA if he decided to go back home to Victoria.
Phil,
I reckon the Gowans boys are from Anglesea also.
Are they saddling up again next year ??

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

Hey Digs,

Yeah, Chris and James Gowans are from Anglesea as well. They actually emply Ryan Williams as an apprentice at their building company.

Yes, at this stage, the Gowans' boys will be going around again (provided they get through pre-season) for their 13th season of SANFL football.

Hi Phil,
The North Ballarat Roosters have lost a very good young player Ryan Mckenzie to Port Magpies.
Is capable of going further if he puts his mind to it & knuckles down.
He led the Liston trophy over here at the half way mark this year.
Sorry to see him go but the Roosters could not get anywhere near the offer.

If the ABC in Tasmania are covering the TSL next year (and that is a big if at this stage as the AFL Tas are refusing to meet the ABC's requests), then the game won't be at Burnie, you can guarantee it will be at Bellerive. Only way it could be at Burnie is if the ABC aren't covering it.

Grand Final will be at Etihad again.

Unfortunately Dalton has signed with Vermont in the EFL. A big loss for the Borough in 2012.

Pratt on board at Box Hill for 2012

Former North Melbourne defender Daniel Pratt has signed to play with Box Hill Hawks in 2012. Pratt, who played 119 AFL games for North Melbourne and Brisbane, will add significant experience to Box Hill’s defense and mid field.
With Sam Gibson (North Melbourne) and Adam Pattison (Hawthorn) being drafted in the AFL Rookie Draft last week and and other senior players Shaun Pollard and Haydn Kiel not returning to Box Hill in 2012, Senior Coach Damian Carroll was keen to recruit a player with senior AFL experience to City Oval. As well as being a senior player Pratt will also take on a coaching role with the Box Hill Hawks Academy that utilises Hawthorn’s training facilities at the Ricoh Centre.

Other new players to sign with Box Hill Hawks for 2012 include
Marc Lock: former Gold Coast Suns player and inaugural captain when they played VFL in 2010
Max Otten: Sydney Swans rookie in 2011 and brother of Adelaide Crows player Andy.
Matthew Scott: North Melbourne Rookie.
Kalem Post: Collingwood VFL team in 2011.
Jason Salopek: TAC Cup Dandenong Stingrays player in 2011

They join the following returning Box Hill Hawks players from 2011.
1st Year returning: Beau Muston, Josh Ralph, Taylor Gilchrist, Guy Phelps, Xavier Murphy, Ben Monkhorst, Tim Northe, Sam Cust, Daniel Cooper, Corey Cassidy, Jackson Bolton, Tom Cunningham
2nd Year returning: Brent Wallace, Michael Thompson, Liam Tobin, Jayden Cass, Luke Andrews, David Mirra, Ben Fagan, Aaron Johns, James Wilsen
