1948 VFA Record Williamstown v Sandringham

Not often you find V.F.A. records approaching 60 years of age,

Ths is the May 29 Record, round six, Williamstown led by Ron Todd v Sandringham.

Despite Todd's presence, neither side in round six were amongst the contenders - Brighton of all clubs remained unbeaten at five-zip.
Other than Todd, other Williamstown starts included Danckert, Salvas and Featherby, coached by Gordon Ogden, Sandringham led by captain-coach Len Toyne and including Roy Harper, Neil Bencraft and the Grambeau brothers.
