A very encouraging game, after a poor start, Port finished very strongly to post a good win.
Gill rucked for most of the first quarter, but dominated when shifting to the forward line, kicking three goals and typically working very hard at ground level. If he can keep injury free he could be in for a very big season.
Robbie "Banger" Alexander continues to impress working very hard on the wing.
Colbert was very good across the half-back line and directed play. Both Colbert and Josh Gibson did particularly well moving the ball forward.
Steven Lawrence was very good all over the ground, and the quality of his disposal was fantastic.. Particularly being noticeable when under pressure.
Another who was very good was Cotchy who despite a knock to the arm moved well and figured prominently in the second half.
Ben Scwarze was terrific on the wing, and was strong overhead and quick with disposal.
In the reserves match Werribee ran out winners.. Port doing poorly in the third term, with the Tigers going on with it, despite an improved last term by the Borough.
