It would make perfect sense for Port Melbourne to play a home Preliminary Final at Telstra Dome against say 'Sandy' to gain experience at the venue. It is more than likely that Port will struggle at TD if the Grand Final is their first run at Telstra. Especially if they play a Williamstown or Casey who's AFL club's have the Dome as their home ground, meaning several players of AFL experience would have a huge advantage over Port. In saying this Port have mnay AFL experienced players, the cost of the Dome wouldn't be cheap, availability is an issue(NRL) but it seems logical if Port really want the flag.
