Praccy match versus Werribee
Body:
Far better standard of footy than the game against Frankston last week. In the forward line, Pitt was leading strongly and kicking goals, looks set to be Port's main forward, which will please Phil Cleary who is a big fan of Pitty. New player Bonaddio did get the call up, and did well, perhaps he tired a bit but a lot to look forward to, as he could have an impact this year. Not sure how much of Nathan Thompson we will see at the Borough this year, but his work in the ruck and in particular leading out of the forward line was excellent. In the midfield, Ryan McMahon had a lot of the ball, and looks like he will regain his spot in the starting 18. Lawrence and Robbins also did well and will generate a lot of drive out of the centre. In defense, Kris Shore worked hard, and we may see him play more of his footy there this year perhaps? Cotchett, Obst, Milhuisen worked hard in creating some run out of defence. Perkins and Robbie Alexander both worked hard, and Perkins had a lot of the ball, and maybe just needs to work a bit on his disposal. Alexanders long direct kicking into the forward line was good. A few players spent time in both the reserves and senior sides today, including Bloom and Pinwill. Both would be good additions if they can break into the senior side. Lance Picioane also impressed with his attack on the ball. Good to see Lance Oswald is back on the list, as he broke his leg last year and missed out. Hopefully he has an injury free year. Ben Robbins first hit-out, and did well in the midfield, including a couple of great tackles.
