If even the Victorian AFL clubs are becoming frustrated with the status quo then it gets interesting. For years I think the idea of an AFL reserves competition hasn't gathered enough steam because the Victorian clubs don't have the same grievances as the interstate clubs. If that's changing then we might be in for another round of "VFL is dead next year"
Ross Lyon is a goose. Remember when a player was dropped to vfl level he said you are playing with the scum and plebs. That is a typical comment from this clown. The vfl comp will have one extra next year with the zebras back as standalone. Possibly two extra if the devils join in 2026. Ideally 24 teams with 23 rounds would be good. Every team plays each other once. Don't believe in conferences. It's too Americanism.
Not sure. Then again Carlton, Collingwood in second division? Sounds good. However I'd stick to how it is now. If teams don't make top ten then they have nothing to complain about.
Can't say I've ever had mush time for Ross Lyon. The comments about staying a breakaway commission with 4 or 5 clubs is interesting.
I feel like it will be back on the agenda in a big way at the end of this season.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.

Maybe not conferences but are you open to the idea of two divisions with promotion relegation like the days of old ?
