I can't see any reason why Easter Monday games wouldn't work. The VFL is already a heavily weighted Sunday competition this year as many clubs feel that's the best day to hold games, why not bump one or two onto the Monday? Especially when the only game in town is St Kilda v Richmond!!!
The ANZAC day experiment was tried last year, and from what I can gather it was a success. If you can get a couple of traditional rivals playing each other, I feel you could set up a really big event.
