Really disappointed and concerned seeing the scores in the Werribee - Preston game. Anybody know what's happening at Kramer Street? I can understand it's been a pretty disheartening season for the boys, but geez, they are looking non-competitive often lately.
Really hoping our Dolphin lads don't follow suit against GWS today. Been a horrible couple of weeks, we really need to bounce back.
I arrived at Frankston at 11.50 and wonder why few were around. I thought it was 12pm start; it is1pm.
Sitting here watching the grass grow. In past eras there would have been 2s of 3s to watch.
In the early 50s at Willy baseball games were played before the big game
Frankston stiff again today? The baseball finished when the Thirds competition was introduced in the 1950's i think blackrocker
So proud of our boys to fight as they did after a poor couple of weeks. Maybe unlikely with how the game ended but when you kick 6.18 you don’t really have an excuse.
Hard task at Werribee next week.
Mrs Blackrocker and I had an enjoyable day at Frankston; it was good footy. 6 18 and to loose by 1 tells the story.
Aust Football players of all levels could learn accurate kicking skills from the. NRL goal kickers
Gotta echo Robbo's comments, super proud of our boys today. I was worried they would throw the towel in after the debacles of the last fortnight, but they gave four quarters of heart and soul today. Yes, inaccurate kicking cost us again badly, but that was the only area in which Frankston failed today. Lots of people after the game claiming the last kick from Max Williams went over the line, but we'll never know - the streaming footage certainly doesn't give you much indication. Werribee is a nightmare trip next week, but if our blokes play with today's tenacity that will do me regardless of the scoreboard.
Frankston now has 1-7 record in Games decided by 6 points or less since start of 2022 season
now i know how brissy supporters felt on friday. yucky!
bloody great effort from the dolphs but the accuracy wasnt there. we had all those opportunities for goals but we couldnt kick straight.
i'll be in werribee next week but i'm not confident - theyve been flogging everyone lately and i'm sure theyre ready to flog us too.
Say your prayers Dolphin......if they give a four quarter effort like against the Giants they will minimise the damage. Can't see any way they win this game though, not even at their best. Werribee are a machine, especially at home right now.
alright aj, your comment has legitimately been sitting in my mind all day. you've convinced me to not bother :D
edit: ahhhh bugger it, gotta support the boys. to werribee it is.
Hmm, we both might be wishing we'd gone to Werribee.....great first quarter by the Dolphins!!
i ended up going haha! cant get away from it. first quarter was great. the rest... not so great... but not as bad as i thought it would be. and certainly not as bad as the bullants game, holy moly
First quarter was great......second quarter pretty awful but at least minimised the damage......third quarter absolute rubbish, non competitive......last quarter above average for sure. If only these boys could learn to hit a team when they have them on the ropes. That second and third quarter effort wouldn't be good enough in local footy.
