The 'phony war' is over, the lists are pretty much finalized and the players are ready for the serious business of football. Competative footy.
I am happy. I've had enough of this 'practice match' stuff. There is much to think about in this season, including the existance of Gold Coast.
I want to see how it goes fair dinkum.
The SANFL and WAFL have been up and going for a while now. Are th VFL starting too late? Should our season be on a par with the AFL?
I don't think that is neccessary, but starting the season in a staggered fashion would not be a bad idea.
This season is going to be pivotal as the future of the VFL and I really want to see how it is going to go.
