PRESTON’S beloved Bullants will be stripped down and barely sighted with the once-proud, independent Victorian Football League club to be engulfed by its AFL partner.

The newly branded Northern Blues will concede their name, colours and a further home match to Carlton Football Club’s Visy Park, with only three VFL matches to be played at Preston’s City Oval in 2012.

THE Northern Bullants will launch a video membership ad as they ambitiously strive to increase their supporter base by 500 per cent.

Leader can reveal the 76-second video is aimed at luring AFL-affiliate Carlton members to purchase $20 associate Bullants packages.

To be screened on the Bullants’ popular social media pages, the video was created by the club’s social media guru Michael Jordan without the aid of financial backing.

“We just used what we had,’’ Jordan told Leader.

“The footage that was used was a combination of our experienced and young players as well as showing how we are helping to develop Carlton’s rookies.’’
