In front of a packed house at Moonee Valley Racing Club Jarred Moore was announced tonight as the 2014 Bruce Montgomery Trophy winner, the Best and Fairest award at the Werribee Football Club.
It was back to back for the popular Captain of the club. Moore combines his playing role at Werribee with his job as a Development Coach at the Tigers AFL affiliate North Melbourne. Moore polled 37 votes, five ahead of fellow VFL Team of the Year selection Jye Bolton on 32 votes with Michael Sodomaco third on 29.
Senior Coach John Lamont said “Jarred is a quality footballer who leads by example, his ability to win the contested ball and then put his team mates into space is of the highest order. He reads the game well and uses his experience and knowledge around the stoppages to get the best advantage for the team, To win back to back B&F’s is a real credit to him”.
