Sandy had a gallant victory over Geelong after leading by 7 goals in the first quarter.
Geelong I thought made a mistake of leaving Hunt on the back line in the first half before moving him to the centre in the second half where he was more effective.
Zebra forwards Lourey and Gamble, Siposs,Polo all played their part as did Captain Gallagher. Really all the Sandy players were on top of their opponents all day and held the Cats out.
Special mention to Ralph. Clark who had a terrific match marking and general play helped win the match.
A big one next Saturday against old rivals Williamstown at Avalon Airport Oval Werribee should be a top must win game for the Zebras against the ladder leaders.
