Heard tonight that Ken Gannon has resigned from Football Victoria to take up a role with the AFL as "Community Facility Development Manager".
Wonder where the VFL will head now, with a new head running Football Victoria.
Wow! Big news going into 2007.
Who will take on the role? My longshot is Phil Cleary :) The competition will be returned in name to the VFA before seasons end!
But seriously, what sort of candidates will this job attract ?
Phil as CEO?
He doesn't have a bussiness background, although his football background could help him get the gig. I wonder what the ETU would think if he left them are being the communications manager for them for many years?

I think he actually runs a couple of small-ish business including a furniture company.

Anyone with news of new CEO FOOTBALL VICTORIA appointment yet?
Only names but have to start with some one. Martin Stillman,Ross Booth,Barry Round, Denis Bouyer,Tim Watson.....
ok tear 'em down but who do you think would be better??
go zebs
zebra [/quote]
The problem with some of those names mentioned by zebra is that while they have an appreciation of the level of VFL football, they dont have experience in football administration.
You'd think people who have been in high admin positions at suburban, amateur and country football leagues would be the front runners.
